FORMATION FOR SPIRITUAL DIRECTORS

Wednesday February 10 (evening) – Anne Fry will present on Connecting to the Transforming Grace of Liminal Space. Anne Fry (Franks) has lectured at Chritsian Heritage College for 18 years, in Education and Christian Studies. Since 2003 she moved to become the college's Pastoral Care Coordinator, with particular interests in the role of liminal experiences and spacious listening in the process of spiritual transformation. Anne is also a Spiritual Director in private practice having undertaken An internship in the Art of Spiritual Direction at the Mercy Centre in Burlingame, San Francisco.

Saturday April 24 (day) – Lucy Tierney will present Focusing as a gift of the universe to each of us. We will spend the day being present to focusing as a tool *for spiritual conversations, *for being in touch with those inner springs Jesus talked about, *for developing a natural inner wisdom gift that we all have.

Wednesday May 9 (evening) – Rob Jones, from Men Transforming Men, will present Spirituality for Men. Rob will draw on the insights of Richard Rohr. MTM (Men Transforming Men) runs M.A.L.E. (Men As Learners and Elders) and offers the men's Rites of Passage Male Initiation Retreat.

Saturday June 12 (afternoon) –Jane Simon will present on Finding God in Liminal space - spirituality in substance abuse/addiction - a Mother's journey. Jane Simon is married with 3 daughters and 5 grandsons. She has worked as a librarian for the past 20 years during which time she completed a Grad Diploma in Health Studies (UQ) and a PhD (Griffith). This is her 4th and last year in formation as part of the Spiritual Direction Program through MEC, Brookfield.

Saturday August 21 (reflection day) – Topic: Touching the Art and Heart of Peacemaking. Reflection on the material presented at the National ANSD Conference by Brendan McKeague in Adelaide in July 2010. The Reflective Day will be informative for those who were not able to attend the Conference. It will also be suitable for those who have attended. The day will be led by Denise Brosnan and Lucy Tierney.

Saturday October 9 (afternoon) –The topic Spirituality and Mental Health will be presented by a Panel from A Place to Belong Spiritus Mental Health Network.

Saturday November 20 (afternoon) –A reflection on the journey of this year and planning for 2011. Bring your ideas and suggestions for topics and presenters for the 2011 Program.
